Ulster County Man Busted With Kilo Of Cocaine During Traffic Stop, Police Say

Ulster County resident Anthony Johnson, age 41, of Kingston, was stopped on Thursday, Oct. 10, on I-87 while driving a 2018 Audi Q7 in Orange County in Cornwall.

According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a probable cause search of the vehicle during the stop by troopers and K9 Moran yielded a kilo of cocaine and $7,739 in cash.

Johnson was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. 

He was remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
